He fell again so I talked to another staff member Ms. Maryland (Mur-lynn) and she was outright rude . I ask her can they check on him more she said they don’t have cameras, bed alarms and they don’t restrain them. I didn’t ask her that just a little more time to check on him she told me if you want 24 hrs service for him take him out and pay someone to do it.

They’ve had people come in, like musicians, and they had someone bring a dog to visit. They just have a variety of things going on. When he’s in the wheelchair, and he’s wheeling some place and they see him, they’ll help him. Effective but not a Pleasant place to visit. Double rooms are really unpleasant and it is a shame that they are still used anywhere. My father was there after a stroke and he did recover well and I was able to bring him home eventually after having moved him to the assisted living facility upstairs.
The Nurses and Aides have given her the best care as expected. The Staff if friendly and caring and we feel comfortable having her there. Very good interaction between the Staff and Family, sometimes lacking in some areas but overall a good Facility. Semiprivate rooms in Pittsburgh nursing homes cost an average of $9,125 per month. I was more or less confined to my bed because I wasn't able to move and they had to teach me how to move everything again. I have no complaints about anything that they gave me. Both of them declined in overall health substantially when staying here. Understaffed, overworked, and chaotic. However, I do not recommend sending anybody here who has an intention of being sent home and improving after a hospital visit. My mom has been at Kane Ross Nursing Home for about six weeks now.

Like all places, the food was institution food. Some of it was better than others, some of it was terrible, and some of it is because she didn't like it. My mom was in quarantine the first two weeks she was there, and then she was put in with a roommate. Because the rooms were smaller, there wasn't a whole lot of room for her wheelchair in the room with the two beds, the night stands and the closets. The room was pretty tight, so it made it hard for her to get around.

The facility is very clean, people there are like family so it’s good. If it were a brand new facility, I would have given it a five. It’s an old facility but it’s clean. The rooms are way too small, but the care she’s getting and the people there make up for the lack of space. They have Bingo and a few other games to play, and other things they try, but they don’t have a lot of room for big activities.
They don’t have too many activities because of the virus. They only have bingo, they go outside, they watch movies, and stuff like that. They have a garden that has benches; it’s a big circle. They have community rooms, but no chapel.
They helped me out and gave me the aide that I needed. I would love to go back there again. I have no problem with anything that they did for me.
